Getting started

One skill. One task to start.

Choose the skill you need, install it, then use a well-scoped task to learn what it delivers.

What needs to happen now?

Current goalStart here
Clarify requirements, plan, or advance one engineering taskCohestra
Prepare and serially execute several engineering tasksCadra + Cohestra
Review pages, explore static visuals, or compare candidatesVistra
Summarize outcomes and outstanding work for a periodRelatra

Install according to the task. Cadra needs Cohestra, a host supporting independent child agents, and Python/POSIX file locks; see Installation and updates for the full capability requirements. Vistra needs host image capabilities to generate or edit images. Relatra needs Python 3.9+ and readable execution records.

Put the skill in the tool you use.

A tool that loads and invokes skills is called a host. For Cohestra, prepare Node.js and npm versions supported by your installer, then run this in a terminal at the target project's root:

Terminal command
npx skills add yuzio-ai/skills --skill cohestra

Select your actual host when prompted. Return to it and confirm that Cohestra is discoverable. Refresh its skill list if the host requires it.

See Installation and updates for scope, host selection, version checks, and the commands for other skills.

Plan a small task first.

Enter this in the agent chat:

Agent prompt
$cohestra design

Project: <absolute path to your project>
Requirement: Add search history with up to 20 entries, individual deletion, and clear all.
Constraints: Preserve existing search behavior. This call is for planning only.

Replace the example requirement with your task and identify behavior that must remain unchanged. Replace <…> with actual values.

This is agent-chat input. Do not run $cohestra design in a terminal. Other hosts use their own supported invocation methods.

Check the result before choosing the next step.

Read the design and confirm that its scope, implementation steps, and validation methods fit the goal. Open questions are listed in the handoff.

To continue, attach that handoff or the original task directory and invoke the next stage. Cohestra stops after the stage specified for the current call.

After your first invocation, check three things:

  • It handled the intended project and task.
  • Confirmed decisions, recommendations, and unresolved questions are distinct.
  • The handoff states actual results and the conditions for continuing.

Continue along the current task.

Use Cohestra when you are ready to implement the design. Learn about Cadra when several tasks need scheduling.
